The Saltwater Taffy Free Bookmarks for Kids program was created because we are tried of the budget cuts to school libraries.  Not sure why people think cutting funding to a school library is going to help things, because, in my opinion, it’s going to hurt more than it’s going to help. Please suggest SALTWATER TAFFY to the Sunshine Reader list.  After visiting Water’s Edge Elementary School in Boca Raton Florida, we were flooded with emails asking if Saltwater Taffy is a Sunshine Reader title.

I knew we were an Accelerated Reader title, but I hadn’t heard of the Sunshine Readers List.  In order to get onto the list, we need to be suggested to the committee.  As with everything concerning Saltwater Taffy, all we have to do is raise awareness surrounding the book and the rest takes care of itself.

Hudson Children’s Book Festival 2013

Saltwater Taffy is honored to be part of the upcoming Hudson Children’s Book Festival 2013 happening May 4, 2013 in Hudson, New York.  The Hudson Children’s Book Festival is the largest children’s book festival in the entire state of New York and looks to be a great time for young readers.  The Festival schedule is currently being worked out, but you can count on Saltwater Taffy being part of this amazing book festival for children.
