Saltwater Taffy is honored to be part of the Seven Arrows Elementary Literary Festival happening this week in Pacific Palisades, California.  What is super cool about the visit is the author on stage right before me is none other than Alan Sitomer, California Teacher of the Year, who had this to say about Saltwater Taffy: “Pirate.  Adventure and Treasure!  Saltwater Taffy is a rockin’ good time!  Aarrgggghhhh!”

READING TO YOUR CHILDREN

Reading to your children is not only important, it is the greatest gift of all.  With the rain falling onto the rooftops and the parks closed over this past weekend, I pulled out the last two copies of Saltwater Taffy I have (we have sold through 5000 copies so far and onto our 2nd printing) and began reading the adventure to my daughter.  At first, she was more interested in her stuffed animal ‘Bunny,’ but when I tapped into my days of being an actor in high school in college, I began to change my voice and read the story as if it were some kind of play. Advisory council members want to know a book will make an impact in a child’s life by helping them grow: socially, emotionally, ethically, intellectually, and physically.
